BRIEF HISTORY

Chinmaya Vidyalayas have been established all over the country under the aegis of the CENTRAL CHINMAYA MISSION TRUST, Mumbai, with the blessings of Poojya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda. Swamy Swaroopananda, has assumed the charge of being the Vidyalayas’ Chief Patron and inspiration. Swami Brahmanandji, the Regional Head of Chinmaya Mission – Karnataka motivates and guides the school, and he attempts to ensure a good tech-learn atmosphere. 

Central Chinmaya Mission Trust education cell which is also called as Vision Center for education is located at Coimbatore is guiding vidyalayas in each & every aspect. The vidyalayas are directed by a local management committee the committee members are experts and accomplished in their areas of specialization. The committee members are for policy making and smooth implementation of the activities and providing general supervision and guidance. 

Inspired by the vision of making education a meaningful experience where a child learns in an environment of “Joy and Motivation”, with the initiative of the founder member Dr. S.S. Gore & Br. Suresh Chaitanya (Now H.H. Swami Poornapradnyananda) Chinmaya Seva Samiti Trust, Hubballi was formed to start school with like minded and visionary trustees, A dream came true on 4th June 1990, when Chinmaya Vidyalaya started functioning with state syllabus in L.KG class, It was inaugurated by H.H. Swami Brahmananda Saraswati, Regional Head, Chinmaya Mission, Karnataka, in the premises of Rotary School for deaf.

In the year 1991 Pujya Gurudev H.H.Swami Chinmayanadaji visited the school and blessed the institution to fulfill its cherished goals.

On 27th May 1994 new building at Vivekananda colony was inaugurated by H.H.Swami Tejomayanandaji, Head, Chinmaya Mission, Worldwide.

Our Vidyalaya which was started with a meagre strength of 28 students and 2 teachers, now has grown up to more than 3000 students and 200+ hardworking, dedicated, efficient teaching and non teaching Staff members. Chinmaya Educational Institutions which runs Chinmaya Vidyalaya (State), Chinmaya Vidyalaya (CBSE) Chinmaya PU College of Science & Commerce, Chinmaya Degree College of Commerce and Chinmaya Chetna a Nursing institute.
An elegant massive building was inaugurated in the year 2005 at Mayuri Estate where High school section of Vidyalaya was functioning along with PU Science and Commerce classes,
In the year 2009, School got permission to start CBSE stream which is functioning in the same premises at Mayuri Estate.
On 7th June 2015 Vidyalaya celebrated Silver Jubilee in the holy presence of H.H. Swami Brahmanandaji, on its 25 years of commendable glorious service. Vidyalaya has earned the recognition amongst the most popular institutions of learning in Hubballi, Vidyalaya has been successful in spreading the mission’s spiritual and organizational vision, and continued to foster knowledge, understanding application of skills in children. Principals, teachers and management have rendered their sincere service to Vidyalaya transforming itself into a true reflector of education and dedicated their service of commitment towards value based quality education since last 3 decades.

The school has maintained 100% results for 18 consecutive year in state board SSLC exam and 7 consecutive years in class-X CBSE board exams. The institute of this magnitude and repute cannot effectively function without proper co-ordination between strong, efficient, dedicated, hard working academic and administrative team. Our 1000 + past students (Alumnis) occupy important posts in different fields and have made very high and wonderful career for themselves.
