Curriculum

Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Kolar and Chinmaya Grameena Vidyalaya, Chokkahalli are unaided composite schools beginning from Nursery to 10^th Std, and in arts education in English medium. The schools are recognized by Govt. of Karnataka, and the rules and regulations are followed as per the Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board. The schools adhere to the syllabus prescribed by the same board.

The Chinmaya Independent Pre University College, Chokkahalli is composite unaided college, and run as per Pre – University Board, Govt of Karnataka. The students are also being trained to take up NEET, CET, examinations.

Scheme Of Assessment

Teachers : Chinmaya Vidyalaya has a team of dedicated trained, well experienced and quality conscious teachers.

Drill Work : In the primary classes revision and repetition are stressed.

Development of Skills : The growth of comprehensive skills such as listening, speaking, reading, writing and analyzing are encouraged.

Progress Card : In every academic year four monthly tests, a midterm examination and a Annual Examination are conducted. The parents are intimated about their progress through the report cards.

Parent – Teacher Meet : Frequent meetings between the parents and the teachers is a special feature of this school. Apart from the monthly meetings between the class teacher and the respective parents, parents can speak to the Principal or the individual teacher only after prior notification.

Education at the nursery and primary levels are imparted with well designed and creative activity-oriented learning. The focus is more on student learning rather than teaching.

Transport

The transport facilities are provided at Chokkahalli Grameena Vidyalaya and Chinmaya Independent Pre University College. The Chinmaya Vidyalaya Kolar, since situated in the heart of the town no transportation facilities provided.

SCHOOL CIRCULAR

In order to facilitate teachers/staff to carry out day to day work, instructions through circulars are being issued.Also, the Government instructions, CCMT, KCST directives are informed through internal circulars.

EQUATION WITH PARENTS AND COMMUNICATION

We realize that our equation with dear parents is critical for the growth and development of our children. In fact, the suggestions and the feedback of parents serve as a guiding light in the path of progress of our Vidyalaya. Parents must be in regular touch with the school authorities and teachers to discuss the progress of children. Parent’s faith and cooperation are crucial to ensure that our children bloom on to become beautiful personalities and responsible citizens. The school conducts PTM after Tests / Midterm Examinations and parents are invited to participate in the meetings to discuss regarding the progress of their wards and offer their valuable suggestions.
